Rise & Shine, Let’s Do This
5:30AM – One, if not both dogs, snuggle up to my face. Who doesn’t like a big sloppy kiss from a Great Dane first thing in the morning?! Both are in desperate need of attention and a walk. Depending on the day, either Dave or I will take them out and get coffee brewing. ALL THE COFFEE.
5:50-6:00AM – The door opens and out comes B, holding one, if not more of his collection of stuffed animals. “Good morning, buddy, I love you!”
6:00AM – Pink drink, love this stuff. Make B breakfast, grab a banana, coffee w/collagen and head into my office.
(Side Note: On nights I cannot sleep, I come downstairs and work. Sometimes I’ve worked for 3-4 hours before anyone in my house gets up)
6:00-8:30AM – Some combination of work, wake and feed K, supervise chores (emptying the dishwasher & feeding H&Z), make lunches, pack snacks, ensure teeth are brushed, backpacks are packed, everyone is appropriately dressed, Hunter is crated, all food is removed from Zeus’ reach and the chair is in front of the pantry. Fucking glamorous, I know.
6:30AM -Dave leaves for work. Peace Out – See you at some point this evening.
8:40-9:15AM – Drive kids to school, sit in line, watch parents get out of the car to open the door for their kids, drop kids off, drive home.
9:15AM-3:00PM – Work, Fitness, Walk Dogs, Read, Work on My Blog, Clean & Figure Out Dinner
3:00-3:30PM – Watch a show
3:30PM – Leave to get Kids
3:40PM – Sit in pick-up line
3:50PM – Watch too many parents get out of their car in order to help kids get in and buckle. Serenity now.
4:00PM – Greet K&B and ask them about their day. Pray I don’t have to referee a fight during the 10-minute drive home.
Now, here’s where the day gets fun. We will go into our future schedule below:

Moms Are Fucking Rockstars
But we are tired
Were you not exhausted just reading what my typical day looks like?
We can’t do it all, even though we try to, over and over again
We need help
It shouldn’t be so hard for us to ask for help, but it is
There is nothing better in this world than being a mom, but motherhood, especially over the last two years, has been nothing short of EXHAUSTING
Normalize asking for help.
I’m so thankful for my mom tribe. The best tribe
Normalize mental health treatment.
I am grateful for a doctor who listened, really listened. I am grateful for medicine.
Normalize moms NOT feeling like we have to do it all
Moms are FUCKING ROCKSTARS
